The top picture was a stopping point...I knew i was not content with it...left if for two hours, would look at the picture I took of the page at this point, to try and come up with how to finish it. A friend made some suggestions, which helped to trigger the final result...the second picture (and the two bottom close ups....i had to layer over mistakes through the process, which is the joy of mixed media,,,,sometimes those mistakes push you to alter your work.
I am again thoughtful of what is going on in France these past severals days,....I had reflected on this by looking at our trip pictures to Paris in August and when I saw Sacre Coeur I was reminded of how beautiful it was, the view from on top of that hill overlooking Paris in all directions...the beauty of this sacred place and wondering what others must be thinking standing there now....
